- What: The central event of the annual Fire Festival the Firefighter Combat Challenge: Referred to by some as the “toughest two minutes in sports,” this event teams firefighters from around the Pacific Northwest against each other.In two minutes, competitors must climb a 5-story tower, hoist, chop, drag hoses and rescue a life-sized, 175 lb. dummy as they race against themselves, their opponent and the clock.
