On June 29-31, a host of tugboats gather at the port of Olympia as the focus of the Capital’s Harbor Days Festival: three days packed with entertainment, activities, food, art, history - a traditional last farewell to the summer. Over 30 working and retired tugboats will be moored at Percival Landing, and many of them are open for tours on Saturday. Then, at 12:00pm on Sunday, the tugs depart port to participate in the AnnualTugboat Races, in the deep channel of Budd Inlet.
In addition to the above, there will be over 120 arts and crafts vendors booths, a children’s area, model tugboats, dragon boat rides, live music, and there will be yet another chance to inspect the tall ships Hawaiian Chieftan & Lady Washington.
