Your editorThe goals of this site are really quite simple.

It almost goes without saying that in order to attend local and regional events, you need to know the what, the where, and the when. You need the essentials: how to get there, what the event is going to cost, if anything, where to get tickets, if it’s family friendly, and so on. You don’t need or want a whole lot of chit-chat from me, you’re not interested in my rambling philosophical observations or corny jokes, etc. You need information. Data.

That’s the primary goal of this site. To provide specific, focused, no frills information about recreational events and opportunities throughout Western Washington, including, but not limited to Whatcom County, this website’s home base. I know that a lot of people also visit Canada for the many opportunities it has to offer, so I also seek out events across the lower B.C. mainland and Vancouver Island.

The triune “core” of the site are the events calendars. There you will find all the information you need to plan a great weekend, or a great day off:

A secondary goal of this site is to look “farther field,” and develop listings and directories of various festivals and recreational opportunities all throughout the State of Washington. Presently these are listed on the Festivals Page, and bit by bit I am building up the GreatNorthwest resources page which can be accessed from the links section in the lefthand sidebar. I plan to make the presentation of this information even more efficient and accessible as the site continues to grow.

And that’s it. That’s what this site is about: providing you with the specific, focused information you need to help you get out and enjoy this amazing part of the world we live in
