Tips on using the calendar

- clicking on an event brings up a preview box of unformatted text. If you simply click on "more details" in the bottom of the preview box, this will open a separate page of formatted text, and all the links will be clickable.

- the default view for the calendar is "agenda," which comprises a day-by-day scrolling list of dates and events. By selecting the tabs at the top right of the calendar frame, you may toggle between "month" and "week" views.

- if you wish to print out a customized calendar of events you have selected, simply click on "print" (next to the view tabs, top right) which will bring up a dialog blog that allows you to select a date range, whether you wish to print out event descriptions, etc. Also, once you have generated your custom calendar, instead of printing it out directly you may select the "save as" option in the dialog box, which will generate a PDF file (default) which you may download to your computer.

- if you don't have a Google account, keep in mind that it's free, and having an account will give you the added advantage of being able to save events directly to your personal calendar, where you may share them with friends, set reminders for yourself, etc. Google also has an array of online tools/downloadable software, free for use, which rival those provided by any service on the Web including Yahoo and MSN.
